[5.14.01 Sunday]

It's mother's day again. I sent out a card on Thursday but I don't think it'll get there on time. I called mom on Saturday and it wasn't there yet. My mom's cool. Yeah, she's always sending me letters and stuff. Even though it's not always what I want to hear, its her honesty and effort to communicate with me that's cool. She's always looking out for me too. Like she sent down a bag of food with Avery when Avery came to visit me, and she doesn't get mad at me when I forget her birthday, she would always bail me out when I was late by driving me to the BART station, or to school, or work, and she would totally pamper me when I was sick to make my recovery bearable. (The list goes on and on...) I also remember how mom would read to me and Avery when we were home - schooled, and also how she would let us watch GI Joe, Transformers, and Batman in between our lessons at home. Cool stuff.

I can't say that things have been perfect, but I know that my parents have sacraficed a lot just to see me, Avery, and Charis grow up in a good home, go to good schools, and have a lot of opportunities. Dad working long hours and mom doing the same while cooking, cleaning - you know, running the household. Now that I look back, I'm pretty amazed at my parents. At their commitment to us as their children. It's cool.

Dang, I'm pretty tired. I've been hoping to write more often but things have been so busy. Well, I'm gonna go to bed because it's late.
