iChef Journal [04.06.2002 Saturday] I'm pretty tired right now. I'm at school (UCSD) studying with Sam at the library. It feels weird not to have work today because I've kind of last track of time. I've been having trouble getting sleep in the morning. I seem to wake up an hour or more before I intend to get up and then I can't go back to sleep. This has been happening for the past week, regardless of when I go to bed. It's kind of taking a toll on my body: being half-way awake for part of the day. Last night was a really great night. After fellowship, I was able to talk to Scott about stuff, and he shared about how he was taking steps of faith, to reach out, and God totally rewarded him by giving him the oppurtunities he was seeking. I haven't smiled and been so full of joy for a while, and I can only thank God for that. Mikey, Kagba and I were going to get gas, and we were all inspired and joyful for the work that God was doing in Scott. In the car we were singing praises God and acknowleding just how great he was: "Even when life sucks, God is GOOD; Even when I'm feeling down, God is GOOD!; You are so good to us God." Our joy just spilled over at the 7Eleven. I got a slurpee over there and then Kagba and Mikey just started sharing the gospel with the guy at the counter. Man, it was crazy, but awesome. And I hope that this continues, that I would find joy everyday.
