iChef Journal [6.11.2001 Monday] I'm done. I'm done with senior project. I have no more obligations to the class. Done. The Friday nights staying up late to prepare for Saturday mornings. Scrambling for a video camera on Fridays. Rushed trips to Costco to buy dispoable cameras and to develop film. Pulling all nighters and not finishing. Not knowing what to do. Being reevaluated by others. Hoping for great things to happen and watching them break down. Compromising bright visions to the reality of a lack of time, resources and help. Blood shot eyes from staring at the computer screen for 13 hours straight. The times when people would say: "Wow, that's really cool". When others would smile and be excited for me. Having Sam write a journal entry in his musings. Helping Kevin post animated gifs on his website. Putting up web pages that actually work. Getting approval and encouragement from Dr. (Principal) Alvarez at the Preuss School. Having Manuel (Francisco's Dad) take a large role in restructuring / teaching / comtributing to the project. Clicking through the web pages and having them link together correctly. Having Steph Wu come to my presentation (even though it was a bit dry). Handing out certificates of completion to the students. Saying goodbye to Aluisa and Ledia and receiving their greatful thanks. Laughing with Alusia and Ledia in their interactions in front of the video camera. Watching the students post their own "i am" poems on the web. Being encouraged by Manuel in my successes and failures. Talking to Kane and Francisco about how school lunches sucked. Talking to Francisco about skateboarding and how he was going to take classes at UCSD next year. Having Tofu help me out on Saturdays.
